David took me through a series of circuits that left me sweating and breathing hard but feeling great about my form and the feedback I was getting on my exercise technique. I trained for 40 minutes right in my home and felt amazing.
As I started to learn how to use the software, I persuaded my partner Jenn to do a session with me. Jenn was home with her two girls of 6 and 8. I dialed her up on the iPad and got her all set up in the living room.
I was able to design a specific program – working some dynamic flexibility and mobility of her hips to start and then working through some lower body strength, power and anaerobic circuits. We progressed to some upper body exercises while maintaining the high heart rate and rolled into some core strength and abdominal exercises. 45 minutes later she was spent, and expressed what a great workout it had been.
The exercise videos really give a great visual for the exercise to be performed and I was able to give specific feedback to her on how each exercise was going. I was there to motivate and correct for every rep. The kids were in and out of the screen and seemed to enjoy the experience and had the benefit of a great role model - their mom - working hard to stay in great shape. My thought was “what a great tool for moms and dads to use when they can’t get away to the gym”.
I have also been using the program with some of the athletes I train, designing a warm-up routine for the figure skaters to use before they go on the ice.
